    1 Hen laying and 5 not far behind. Not sure the best way to go about this.

    You can add oyster shell to the remaining feed. Then to laying pellets. Some put oyster shell onthe side as an option for the hens to chose. I didnt find this effective as my hen that is laying started having soft shells. :(

    Yes if you consume it every day. My doctor during pregnancy told me in a single dose you can not od on it. Most of the other threads on here do suggest asprin and have dosage guidelines. I did read online just now to not give it to poultry.

    Splint it! All you can do is try.. Keep him separate. And as owners of chickens weve all had to put some down as crappy as it is.

    This is very sad. give her a stuffed animal for company and talk to her a lot. Baby tylenol is another option to keep her more comfy. U can always force the liquids down with a syringe. Good luck.

    Just like humans chickens have birth defects occasionally. If shes happy and healthy Just go with it. Ive had extra toes on some silkie crosses and splay leg on a couple i hatched last month.

    LOVE my new incubator!!

    I sell them for five ea. I live in dfw and its hard to find good breeds without having to drive an hour each way. I gave away a lot tho to friends and family. I hatched a variety. olive eggers, americanas, production red, banties, What ever I could get my hands on. I even get the eggs delivered!
