    Starter Crumlbe all medicated?

    Is most starter crumble medicated? I use Nutrina (sp?) atm. I ordered 25 layers and these are not availabe for the cocci, vaccine this time of year. Just needed a good idea on what feed to use. Regards, Mr.Yardbird

    A sharp machete works well, i had a friend show me what he does, he takes a 1 foot 1/2'' thick rebar, puts chicken neck under it and grabs feet and pulls up, hang to bleed /rinse and repeat. There are many ways to do the deed. Regards, Mr.Yardbird

    Meat bird leg problem ( edibility )

    They are cornish x rocks, it seems it just cant stand on its own, the others can but this one cannot. I've read about them being notorius for this.

    I have one meat bird ( who still eats and drinks like crazy ) but has the dreaded leg problem. My other 14 birds ( from the meat and eggs combo ) are all fat and healthy. What has folks done with these birds? Do you still dress them out or use them for something else? Regards, Mr.Yardbird

    Not sure what these 3 are! Updated Pics!

    Was thinking Wyandotte for the first one (there are no feathers on its legs) just wasn't for sure. And in the last picture, it has clean legs too. The one you belive to be a Cochin or Langshan is starting to get golden speckles in its feathers now and it's legs are almost completely covered...

    These are pictures taken last week when the chicks were 4 weeks old, they turn 5 weeks old tomorrow and have lots more feathers now but markings on them haven't changed. And this lil one here looks like it could be a few different breeds at this age. Any help on trying to figure these 3...
