    Tons of chickens dying

We have been losing from 5-10 chicks a day now. The chicks hatched from mid summer to the beginning of September, none of our older girls/boys are dying. We had a frozen water situation about two days ago, where the heaters didn't work, so we thought they had been dehydrated. But after we fixed...

    HELP!!! Cockrel or Pullet??

Her face is turning red because she is maturing into an egg layer. 100% pullet, if it were a rooster it would have long, pointy saddle feathers, long tail feather, and other differences. I'd say you will be getting your first egg here soon!

    Brother and sister breeding?

In some animals, two offspring from the same mom/dad can be bad, but in chickens it is no big deal. However, after about three to four generations, you will want to switch out all your roosters and get fresh ones from completely non-related flocks.

    Dairy Goats

Four foot tall fence should be fine, just be sure there are no holes or even a small amount of space under neath that they can escape. For every goat you own you need about 2 acres. The best way to manage your field is to do rotational grazing, which reduces the wormload. Goats are herd...

Blue Gold Splash Partridge Brahma, Crested Cream Legbar, White Faced Spanish, Serama/frizzle

how well do white faced spanish lay? Really interested in that breed but due to recent circumstances I can only purchase laying breeds, not 'useless' ornamentals. Gotta start making money off them by selling eggs (not for hatching, dont worry. Im not gonna steal your business )

This is a weird hatch ..,

So I have done nothing different than with any other hatch, but for some reason this hatch is messed up. So I set seramas on the 12 th (night) and mottled Cochins 24 hours later. Yesterday was day 22 for the seramas and that's when they all hatched. Usually they hatch on day 19. Today is day 22...
