    Thank you all so much! This is exactly what it sounded like. I did check inside her beak and found nothing, I administered just a few drops of olive oil and massaged a bit and overnight it stopped. This is the best group!!

    Purina layena, hanging feeders with oyster shell, sunflower seeds as treats. She is at the bottom of the pecking order, the shells do contain yolk.

    Quick question chicken peeps : 2 of my hens wear aprons because of the Rooster, they are in full molt mode, should I remove the aprons? there are quite a few new feathers coming in under them, will it cause a problem? Don't want to hinder the growth!! Thanks so very much Patti
