Gender info?

This 'Buff Orpington' was purchased in June with several other hens (?), as you can see by the pic's she is HUGE, bigger than my Red Roo. She? is chest bumping all the others, and picking on everyone, including me, doing the circling when I feed and pecking at my feet and legs! No side spurs, but very much acting like a Roo. Do we have an identity crisis? The others are all very gentle chickens, HER? NOT SO MUCH. Any help would be so much appreciated.

Hate to break it to ya, but "She" is a "He." He is a very beautiful Buff Orpington cockerel. Roosters don't start growing spurs until they are nearly a year old.

Both the Buff Orpington up front and the Production Red in the back are both male. See how they both have those long, thin, pointy feathers on their backs, near the base of the tail? Those are male specific saddle feathers.

I actually thought I had a chicken that was having 'gender issues' !!!

That "she" is most definitely a he!
