    Stupid dog

My neighbor is a big hunter of hogs. He has about 20 dogs, they are all penned and well taken care of. The problem is his 10 year old daughter likes to take some out and play with them when he is at work. I came home the other day and I saw her standing across the street with a dog leash. I...

    Newbie! Going away for vacation?

I went to Orlando for a vacation with the family, so I just paid my nephew. I put the feed in zip lock bags marked for each day. All he had to do is feed one bag a day and make sure they have fresh water. Worked out really well.

    How much food?

I do like to feed everyday so I can check on them. Good idea about keeping the feed fresh. It's just that I get up at 3 am to go to work and by the time I get get home at 4 pm, they are trampling on each other to get to me and the food. How much food?

I have 14 hens ranging between 3-4 months. How much should I feed (per serving, per day)? Also, at what age should I start adding laying feed, and how much? As you can tell, this is my first venture in the chicken world. Thanks for any advice.

    Chicks finally out...

The flock is finally off the back porch and in the run. I know they were tired of the box. I'd let them out for a couple of hours and they'd spend the night in the box. I have a three sided coop with a couple of roosting perches. I really don't have to worry about nesting boxes yet (they're only...

    First time outside

They finally got to go outside for about an hour. For the first 10 minutes they just stood there looking at the grass and listening to the outdoor sounds. They seem really confused. Then they started to walk around a bit, scratching and picking. A couple of them started trying to fly, jumping...
