Hens are able to care for more chicks than they can hatch. I always let my broodies hatch/raise their chicks with the rest of the flock without any problem.
It was made out of an old refrigerator. I live in South Carolina. I was having bad hatches and i was told the dibbies were drowning in the shell and to barely use any water for the early hatches. I took the water out and it is still running high.
My chickens have been eating there eggs. Yeasterday i clipped their beaks. I feed them oyster shells regularly. I went down to check on them today and saw them eating a egg. Some body told me it was because they were bored. Is this true? If it is what can i do? If it isn't what is it?
Thanks
