Desperately seeking stink eye pictures to impersonate my 8 hens! Here's the story... My brother loves to tease me because he knows my girls are my babies. He is forever making KFC jokes and trying to pick which of my girls is the plumpest...you get the picture! Today he emailed me calling...
Yinepu, thank you so much...for the directions and for generously sharing your idea! I'm hoping the ornaments turn out as cute as yours did! I'll try to post a picture
Yes, aren't those spiders great? I remember seeing them last year and thinking they were so pretty I'd even wear them as a lapel pin LOL!!
I'm so grateful for your help in locating the ornament! We need a lot of small gifts to exchange this year and the snowman ornaments will be perfect!
How quickly things can change...shedding tears for your losses. So many of us have lost chickens to predators...we grieve, we learn, we do what we can to guard against future losses and we move on...but we never forget. I'm so sorry.
Kelsie, thanks to you I found it!! I was using the wrong words for my search...the magic words were "some assembly required!" Here is the link to the original post. https://www.backyardchickens.com/t/725967/anyone-making-homemade-christmas-gifts/10 It's post #20
Thanks, Kelsie! That is generally the idea but I know it's not the exact one I had seen (uses...what is that stuff?!...instead of glitter...) but that's the idea. Basically what I'm trying to figure out is what to use to make the pieces like the tiny top hat, etc. So I guess you could say I'm...
Hi to all the talented crafters out there! I've been searching for instructions or a picture of an ornament that I think I first saw here, about a year ago! It was a clear plastic ball to hang on the tree, and inside were the "materials" to build your own snowman...like a kit in miniature...
When Charles comes to the throne, he can give Camilla the title Queen if he chooses, but she will never have equal rank with him. The direct heir is always the one with the power...I think Henry VIII's wives would agree with that LOL
I think I heard somewhere that it has already been decided...
Leave it to me, I have searched the forums and it looks like I'm having the opposite problem with my galvanized waterers (both of them) than previous posters have had. Instead of leaking, my waterers stop dispensing water. What's weird is this just started happening...or maybe it's just now...
Both coops are free-standing in a fenced yard; the older (smaller) coop also has a run attached to it. The new coop is superior in every way to the old one...I don't know that the chickens prefer it, but I certainly do! Eventually I want everyone using the new coop and the old one will be...
Thanks for the input...
Before confining the three older girls, I had them all free ranging in my yard for about three weeks. All three older girls were mean to the younger girls, but the worst offender...my RIR...would actually seek them out so she could chase them. The other two were not...
Well I've been reading up on "mean girl syndrome" and following everyone's advice as best as I can...and now I'm at the point where I don't know what to do next. In a nutshell: I have five pullets at point of lay or close to it, and three "mean girls" who are one year old. My goal is to have...
