We got these two almost identical bantams at the tractor supply in the assorted bantam bin but the man was saying they were black silkies and that the ones he picked out were female but just glancing at them and i know without a doubt he has no idea. I was wondering if these are black...
Hey, I have a flock of 10 chickens with 9 hens and one rooster. We got our chicks in April. Since about august or september 8 of the 9 hens have been laying. Our Black Langshan, Betty, has not laid an egg yet? She looks perfectly healthy and recently our entire flock except her caught the Avian...
On my RIR hen we noticed that she has a raised wart like thing with a coating of black oil around it? I was thinking fowl pox but there is no scab, any ideas?
I've recently just got a chicken off of Craigslist from a lady who seemed nice but also sketchy, she went into the back of her property and brought out two Olive Eggers. After we left I was holding her and noticed that her crop was thick and tough making me think that they are not given grit...
I'm getting a new chicken today that was barnyard bred. The owner says she hasn't given them any vaccines but all of her chickens that were bought had vaccines. So I was wondering if the chicks of these parents will inherit these vaccines or immunities? The reason I am asking is because I will...

I understand now what y'all are saying is true, Thanks for the responses! I just didn't want them to be killed instantly but I guess I scared them off on Craigslist by emphasizing the good home part haha. Thanks again, that is great advice btw!!!!
Thanks everyone for the replies and i found out it really was a red sex link because we got two hens from the same bin that were different in color from this one. Thanks again everyone!
I know this is not a good picture but its the only one i have. Also this was taken a couple of weeks ago, and she/he got some brown on his wings. We got this one at TSC in a bin that said Red Pullets but to me it looks like a rooster. What do you think? This was at 8 weeks old.
Looks like our Black Langshan, i know you can't see the feet but they are black feathered. Only thing is is that she was black as a chick, not gray. We have a Blue Langshan that looks like that chick but then again it looks like this

Thank you, and that makes sense! I hoped he wasn't a roo, we named him after my grandma because of how obnoxious she was haha guess ill have to change the name. THANKS AGAIN!
