Hello :)
As for the eggs you found in the shrub, I would float test them. This can be done by filling a glass or container with enough water to cover the egg. If it floats, it is bad, sinks it is good. I would keep an eye out for other garden nests too. We leave our hens in their coop and run...
Doesn't sound like malting to me, as they usually start around their neck. I would just go with the vet RX at the moment, and hopefully it will improve soon :)
I am so sorry :( to breed peacocks has been a dream of mine and where we live we have them wander into our yard. They roost around the beach and we often find their feathers in our yard. Such beautiful birds. You did all you could and that is wonderful.
Chickens get outa that! Quickly and you can get some spinach!
Look at them, they have a perfectly good coop that is warm and they are sleeping on the deck!
Pepper ( my dog ) stop eating the chook poop!

Hi
I am the only one in family who can tell the hens apart, and what eggs they lay so don't worry lol :) we have a white leghorn who was attacked by a friends dog. She flew over the fence despite her wings being clipped and the dog chased her. Luckily I was able to separate the two quickly...
This is extremely normal for newly laying hens. It is just a sign that their reproductive system is getting started. Some lay soft shell eggs, rubber shells, double yolkers, no yolkers and others no shell at all. This might go on for a few more weeks, but make sure you are feeding them oyster...
My account has been funny too, I am on an iPad. I have no headings up the top of forums, my profile, reviews ect. Maybe there is something wrong with the website?
