    I use an old baby play pen with newspaper on top of the pad and then wood shavings on that and paper towels on that for the first few days. I clipped the heat lamp right on the side of the play pen. It worked great.

    I put paper towels on top of pine shavings. I can replace the paper towels as needed and less chips get in the water.
