I had the same thing just happen to me. So far, I have had 50% of my new chicks turn out to be Roo's. When Blueberry (blue partridge) crowed, at 2 months, I went 'okay, well it has a twisted beak anyway'. Then my beautiful buff partridge, Peaches, crowed last week- at age 10 weeks. That...

BYC Help! WHAT HAPPENED to POSTING???

Yeah, kind of wondering, about this issue since the last BYC update. For a few days, my I.E. was working just fine and now ALL of the old issues are back. I am typing this using Firefox. Using that, I have had zero issues..... Sheila :)

    American serama thread!

Any animal, and any person, can be a carrier of a disease. The fact is that you are 100% more likely to catch something from another person than from your birds. Both bird flu's (Spanish and H1N1) originated in the same region of China. Not a single one in the US and when the virus hit the...

Quote: Contact the show chair, to be sure. Her name is Sher and her e-mail is: [email protected] She may already be at the fairgrounds, right now, getting set up. However, dry camping is dry camping, whether it be in a car, a 15' travel trailer, or a 45' Class A Motorhome. I would be...

FUND RAISER FOR CANCER: The Wild West Serama Club (on Facebook) is having a pol for their leg band color next year (2013). Vote for Pink and if there are enough sales (.50 per band) then the proceeds will go to Cancer Research. This is a closed Group, so get added first (took me a couple...

BYC Help! WHAT HAPPENED to POSTING???

I appreciate the advice! My whole, Internet, life has only been with IE. Therefore, I look in help and if it's not there, figure 'it is, what it is'. I knew that FF was open source but didn't realize-- fully-- what that meant (in terms of add-on's). Thanks again!! Sheila :)

Actually it is a fact-- human population has, in some area's, extensively encroached on wild habitats. I have noticed, during extreme droughts or extreme winter's that we (people) have more encounters with wildlife moving into (sometimes far into) human population centers. Twice, that I...

BYC Help! WHAT HAPPENED to POSTING???

Thank you, I will check this out. I have never used FF until this past week and the 'help' section (of FF) did not show this as an option. All they showed was in Tools, Options, Privacy, Exceptions and that is very limited and too much of a pain to use. Sheila :)

BYC Help! WHAT HAPPENED to POSTING???

Another weird thing (when BYC stopped working in IE) is my daily digest. I stopped getting them. I looked, on each of the threads I am subscribed to, and it still says that I am subscribed. To see if I can force the e-mail daily digest (of the threads I am subscribed to) to start back...

    Partridge Silkies - Nothing else

I am bummed today, my beautiful buff partridge turned out to be a cockerel. I needed girls and, right now, 50% of my up-n-comings are boys. He is lovely though and a friend wants him. Was SOOOO hoping that he would be a girl. I am really watching one of my Isabel porcelain's now. Have a...

BYC Help! WHAT HAPPENED to POSTING???

PS~ The work that they did, to get IE working again for this site, also fixed my original issue (which no one could help with) which was my 'back' button did not work (worked on every other site I visited, on the net, just not BYC). Now it's working just as well as FF did. Sheila :)

BYC Help! WHAT HAPPENED to POSTING???

A few days ago, I got tired of working with the IE issue and loaded FF (Firefox). No issues then. Only thing that I do not like, with FF and Chrome is that you either leave all cookies enabled or disabled. Yes, you can manually enter exceptions but what a pain!!! I have IE set to pop up when...

A few years ago, I was driving into the parking lot- of where I used to work- and saw a Coyote. Was just standing there, in the company drive- bold as brass and not moving away from my car approaching it. It was the biggest Coyote I had ever seen in my life. If not for the color and head, I...

I start them on ground chick starter. After two weeks I mix in ground chick starter with unground. When I see that they have started to eat the unground (it's no longer being left in the chick feeder and I see them eating it), I stop grinding. Sheila :)

    Silkie thread!

A friend got three Silkies from a hatchery and saw mine, the other day. She was pretty upset as she says that hers look nothing like mine and after seeing mine wonder if she even got pure Silkies. You described them perfectly. Tiny crests and zero fluffy-- they are nearly flat. She is now...

Oh, panic now! I am a big believer in panicking early and panicking often. Allows me to hit my target heart rate at least two to three times a day. That is supposed to be good for you, right??!! Sheila :)
