Thx for the reply!
We had her inside all night made sure she had food and water. Poor thing u could see her straining. She ate all the food and drank the water and this morning to my relief she had past a egg. It was normal in the middle but really soft shell. We put her in the garden with the...
One of our family chickens was handled quite ruff yesterday by little chicken who were visiting. Today she has redness from her vent down to her legs, continues drinking, is not very mobile, seems tired and in pain. We are al most certain she is egg bound and are going to take her to the vet...
Hi, your chickens r soooooo cute! I really like Buffy. Our chickens squat as well their Isa Browns if you rub them under the wings they do it even more. It's a reaction when you chase and go to pick em up. They think your a rooster and that position is for well..... U can figger it out. :P just...
My chickens are Isa Browns and they are extremely gentle! They love there food and follow u every were. Never peck me or my family very funny and don't care about being picked up and hugged ( mine falls asleep ) best family chicken breed. ( and very easily hypnotized )
Ok I will wire the chickens apart but I will let the mother chicken go to run round with the others sometimes and I will look after the chicks for her. will she forget bout em if I do that?
Thx so much for the reply I was really worried!
U are alowed to keep em for sure but the people next door hate the rooster and chickens (WHAT BOUT THEIR CAT!) so yeah that's a no no
Thx for the reply!
I'll have to go to drastic measures.
(loads nerf gun)
Will she mined being separated when sitting on eggs will it effect if she's broody or not? She makes a big racket when she's alown.
It hits 20-45c here should I keep the broody chicken with eggs inside?
I will check out the incubators on eBay.

I might try the box trap. The problem is one of r chickens is a bit smarter then the rest. She will destroy that box as soon as I set it. But u never know.
Thx heaps for the Replys
Lucky chickens! Thx for the reply. A bit of meat I guess can't be bad for em. I love my chickens and i go outside randomly just to hug one (I'm 13) but ever since they started eating mice I've thort differently.
Thx again!
Next doors cat likes r chickens and I'm worry one day it might kill one. the worst thing is one of r not so bright chickens is going up to the cat! Not to fight just to say hello! Is there someway I can train it to be afraid by cats!
Plzz help! It might go for a hand shake next!
Yeah ones broody the others don't care. I think she will be a great mum it's extrely hard to separate her from her normal eggs every morning. She stays in the coop with the other chickens eggs when they go for a run aound outside
I'm just worry bout the heat of spring/summer will it kill em?
If...
