Is it possible to train chickens not to go near cats!?!?

Next doors cat likes r chickens and I'm worry one day it might kill one. the worst thing is one of r not so bright chickens is going up to the cat! Not to fight just to say hello! Is there someway I can train it to be afraid by cats!
Plzz help! It might go for a hand shake next!

Hi. Is it possible to keep roosters where you live? If so I know Rhode Island Red roosters a very territorial. He would let the cat know its not o.k. and the cat may learn to avoid the hens. If thats not an option a fence with an electric wire on top may be the next option. I hope the cat stays away.

U are alowed to keep em for sure but the people next door hate the rooster and chickens (WHAT BOUT THEIR CAT!) so yeah that's a no no
