We decided to euthanize the little one. His breathing was really labored and his little legs were sticking out straight and stiff. My husband is gonna use gas..that way he will just stay asleep. He hatched too early..his " belly button" went away today. :'( -

yeah... mama flipped out and started tearing apart eggs and attacking the first hatchling. We pulled the eggs inside with the baby...we've had two successful hatchings before this last one . I believe the room got too warm and he hatched with yolk still attached. He was almost out and stayed... -

Last night he actually drank some pedialite by itself..not much but some. As i was holding him after i gave it some...we were on the floor he started to dab and seemed to b searching ...i tried to give it some feed but i guess it was so tired it fell asleep. He also hasnt had a bowl movement... -

The duckling we had issues with is still alive. However, it hasn't eaten yet.. it hatched on 1st... with yolk attached. Yolk is gone.. area looks good. He sleeps a lot... drinks when I get it to... I was told to give it pedialite which I do by syringe . I keep it warm.. he chirps and... -

What causes this? I mean she was very docile she was moving the eggs around and making sure they were all covered.... she was letting the baby climb all over her and sleep on top of her. She wouldn't leave the nest at all for almost two weeks or so. Maybe she went stir crazy . I wish I knew... -

Thanks... Sadly when I went out tonight to check on everyone, the mama was in the process of tearing apart an egg, luckily it wasn't fully formed yet. She then went after the duckling so I took her out of the nesting box . The remaining eggs are on the verge of hatching..one is actually rocking... -
