Incredibly Spectacular Indian Runner in need of emergency temporary re-homing! (London, UK)

ha. Oh, I love when he puffs up his crest, like in photo 1. It seems like he's trying to say something very important (he always quacks kind of insistently and does a weird little back and forth march for a second or two when he does that) It looks like you two had a great couple of days! :)

Incredibly Spectacular Indian Runner in need of emergency temporary re-homing! (London, UK)

Hello, my name is Shay and I have a duck. As far as I know he is the most amazing duck on the planet. He is 7 months old and I have had him since he was 3 days old. Someone gave him to us at a party and I live in central London, so he lives in my room (with daily two hour walks and a massive...

Indoor Duck-- is this a problem?

Good idea about the sunlamp! She usually swims outside for hours everyday, but it's london, and sunshine isn't really happening right now, so I'll get her a lamp asap! (Truthfully my best friend and I were planning on buying one anyway, as she's from Australia and I'm from California and the...

Review by '' on item 'Indian Runner'

My indian runner is pretty much the best, right at this second she is curled up on my lap, giving out the cuddles. She doesn't panic at much, is super social and friendly and easier to train than any other animal I've ever owned.

I just wikipedia-ed that! Thanks for the info! I thought rhode island red wasn't a perfect match and now I know why! :) p.s. maybe we call them warrens here, but I'm saying red sex links-- it sounds so much racier!!

Two (Rhode Island Red?) Hens in London, recently started laying.

Yes, my girls are still available! I'd love to see them interact with some other hens! (Nugget is a bit of a bossy beak). Where abouts do you live? how long have you had chickens for? :)

Indoor Duck-- is this a problem?

Thank you for the support! I was worried that somehow, I'd completely missed something, but I probably just need to trade in my housemate (maybe under the classified section, free to good/any home) :) She's not vegan, at least that would've made some sense instead she's questioning my duck's...

    Hello from South London!

Thanks for the welcome guys! Yeah, I wouldn't really mind moving further out of central london, except I'm a student and I've got the most amazing rental deal (an unheard of 33 quid) I thought it'd be okay, living backing onto a big park like I do, to make up for the small-ish garden, but 2...

Two (Rhode Island Red?) Hens in London, recently started laying.

I need to rehouse my two Rhode Island Red hens, Madge and Nugget. They are best friends who need to go to their new home together. They started laying about a month ago, so you'll get a lot of eggs from these lovely ladies, so far it's been at least one a day. They are also absolutely wonderful...

Indoor Duck-- is this a problem?

I have an indoor duck, Fabian, and I'm getting a bit worried about people mentioning personality disorders, biting, etc in indoor ducks. Also one of my housemates (read: arch-nemesis) is insisting I'm being cruel and threatening to call the rspca (then again, she is an utter moron), so I was...

    Hello from South London!

ah, they're worried the chicken poop is attracting cockroaches and they're annoyed that the girls are getting quite loud early in the morning (for a while they thought I wasn't feeding them, but I explained sometimes hens just cluck for no reason and there's not really much I can do to prevent...

    Hello from South London!

Hi! My name is Shay, I have one duck (Fabian) and two chickens (Madge and Nugget!). I joined because my housemates have decided I need to re-house my two lovely chicken ladies and I'm hoping to meet some other Londoners who want my hens and who 1. Would treat them with the tender, lovin' care...
