    @mattsinger I fear my incubation temp may have been a little low as I haven't seen any progress here, hoping just a late hatch here. We will see. Possibly some eggs wobbling around so still hopeful.

    First egg isn't fertile. Second looks to show veins, hard to tell for sure from the picture but veins are always a good sign.

    You may not even need to have the nests at ground level, most of the time my hens nested in milk crates that were a few feet off the ground. As far as laying mine laid eggs nearly every day. Hope I have helped.

    Have you ever had/ do you know anything about chocolate mallards? Would I be able to differentiate themselves from normal mallards as ducklings?
