Can anyone tell me what breeds I have, and if possible...sex?

2,3,5, 10, and 12 are most likely red sex links and they're allvprobably hens since red sex links are sexed easily upon hatching. I ain't too sure about the black ones though:)

    North Carolina

What part of the state do you live in? As far as cultural diversity, there's a ton of it, especially in the mountains:) There are many types of crafts, folklore, music, and other traditions that are unique to NC. You should check out the mountains if you haven't yet. The whole state is full of...

    Chick housing/bullying

Of those 14, 8 are a week old(5 white leghorns and 3 buff orps). The other 6(5 RIR's and a barred rock)are about a day or so old and only about half the size of the older chicks in their brooder. Oh wow it sure sounds like the BO bin is packed with roo's. I just hope that all of mine don't wind up being males I'm wanting at least one nice looking yellow BO hen to add to my flock. Also what did you do with the roosters you got?

    TSC chicks

Thanks again for your feedback this is great to know:) I've got one more question: how do you tell the difference between a male and female leghorn after a month? Will it work on both brown and white leghorns?

    TSC chicks

Thank you for responding, and its great to hear your chickens are faring well! I got my last my batch of chickens from TSC as well (8 NHR's) and they were some of the happiest hens I've ever had! As of right now, I do not know a skilled chicken-sexer, although I did try feather sexing my 5 white...
