I have the same problem with my wyanndottes I've seperated the rooster for a week now and no signs of improvements is there a salve or anything I can do to help the healling it is on all four of my hens?

Welcome to BYC and you won't regret moving to NC go to the local feed stores during chick days and they will carry the breeds that do well in the area misr if the time the chicks they get are local well is what I havr discovered here in NC glad to have you and good luck with your move and new flock

Been a member for a year now got my first flock of SLWyanndottes at feed store in April they are now almost a year old ended up with 2roos out of 6 chicks after doing some research on breed reallized that a single comb is a recessive gene in the breed so I enjoyed thst roo for dinner one night...

Try to think simple and use what you got handy first the chickensjust need basic stuff like shelter food and water you can get some good ideas from the coop design page on this site good luck

well my silverlaced Wyandottes are getting big and my cockerial is starting to crow

really nice coop

i use game bird feed as a treat and they dont like the corn thatis mixed in with it but for $2 a bag they love the rest of it now they all come running when they see the bag in my hand.I have noticed they love canned corn.and it is a special treat they tear that stuff up when i break it out.
