Okay....I have 2 broodies that seem committed. This is a new thing for me as my ladies are only about 10-11 months old. I am wondering if any one any where near west St. Louis county has hatching eggs for sale. Will likely be hatching these for someone I know who lost the last of their...
So sorry for your hatch! Tried quail earlier this year, but many shrink wrapped even at 40 % humidity (it dipped while I was at work). Hopefully your next hatch will be perfect!
UGH! No hatches or even peeping! I know lots of people in my area have been having awful hatches lately, but here's still hoping a few make it out.....
WOW!!!! Gone from the site for just a few days and missed so much!!! Cleared out all the quitters and locked down yesterday, going through with 7 eggs of the 14 set, which is what I figured on shipped eggs. for everyone here as we all wait for little peeps from the bators!
Hey solomine! I ordered some from them last year, I called my post office by code, and was given the correct office to call (they one I called was not the sorting/pick up office) in Ballwin. All of my chicks (7) arrived alive and well, though a day late because of the major heat wave last...
On longer/rougher coated dogs I love rolled leather collars, if you treat the leather once a year it is the best for those coats. It's all I use and recommend for pyr's or longer. Lovely puppy you have though, hope she does all you want and more!
I know they aren't SQ or even a showable color, lol, but thought I'd share some (very poor ;) ) updated pics of my GL Brahmas. They still have a little growing and filling out to do, but I absolutely love them!
Pardon the winter beaten yard, lol.
Candled the OE eggs and all 14 are alive!!!!! So amazed! This is the first time I have EVER had 100% development start on shipped eggs! Hoping they all make it all the way, but I was shocked that the 2 eggs that had detached air cells on arrival started to develope at all. Go little eggs GO...
Just a few updated photos of my GL Brahmas! Lovely girls they are...and so different in personality from each other! They still have some filling out to do for sure, but they are only 7 months old...Cinnamon (who we questioned the gender of) was the first to lay an egg!
So sad! With the busy schedules I wasn't home for hatch day for the quail. Had the humidity at 55% when I left in the morning, with one chick zipping and a lot of rocking. By this morning, only 4 were out and not much moving or nearly as much peeping, humidity had dropped to just under 40%...

Just locked down the quail!!!! Didn't bother candling again, so will just have to see how many of the 51 actually hatch. Saw a couple of eggs rocking, but they aren't due till Sunday/Monday. After this it's on to the Easter Hatch-A-Long for the olive eggers (some frizzled!)

In shipped eggs if the cell reattached in hatches last year, the eggs normally made it to lock down, but all needed assistance getting out of the egg or failed to pip. Many of them pipped the wrong end in my first hatch and I lost many since I had them in mache cartons (what I used to hatch in...
