Lucky you. My girls can't stand me. I tried spending alot of time, and talking with them but it didn't take. Maybe when I start giving em treats they'll warm up a bit more.
They certainly do. Im scared for our other girls. I'll have to have a good look tomorrow and see what can be done. I'd hate to loose anymore. I was sure that if anything killed them it was gonna be a newbie mistake from me .
Came home to find that something had attacked one of our girls. she had bite marks on the sides of her neck. They have a habit of sticking their little heads out of the pen to peck at things outside so it could have been our little dog Thrall but he's never messed with them before. We've...
My darling step son who is very curious decided to find out what would happen if he stepped on one of our poor chick's legs. GRRRRR!!!!! We looked at the foot. It wasn't cut, and it didn't seem to be broken but she's is limping. she's walking around, drinking, and eating fine but she'll stand...

I love your coop!! I'm trying to get something together for next month when my girls are big enough to stay outside full time. I was thinking of buying a prefabricated coop but my husband insists on making it. If you don't mind me asking was it very expensive to build?
With the exception of the two previous rainy days, my chicks have been spending most of the day outside, and I bring them in at night. I'm a stay at home mommy so I'm always going in and out to check up on them. I usually take them out right away in the mornings. Well today I had a Dr Appt. and...
Im in San Antonio. It stormed last night, and its storming again right now. The rain IS desperately needed but I feel so bad for my chicks. They've been going outside for most of the day and they seem happy enough. But they'll be cooped up in their brooder today. It's a pain for both of us...
