So I have a dirty dozen. A VERY dirty dozen lol. Two eggs left, no pips but leaving them for a bit. Hatch day was yesterday.
Thanks to all who replied/helped on earlier thread. Thought you’d like to see a few pics
This lil one came out hollering. Still is the most vocal of the bunch

I’m new at incubating as well, but hatched 12 yesterday. Can you move some to your brooder? I usually only left 2 hatched in bator at one time when at all possible. Once they dried they went in the brooder. If not they really antagonized new hatches and batted around unpatched eggs too much for...
Thanks for the link. Did a lot of reading last night - including threads here on assisting. I watched the questionable egg until almost 3 this morning and felt comfortable it would make it out. It was really rocking and poking away. Will post a couple pics once I move them into brooder. You guys...
4 are out - including the low pip! They’re crashing around bator like little fluffy weebles! Pips on a bunch more. Hope there’s room in there for all of them. May end up having to open to take some out later...
I assume humidity is good as I’ve had to add water to reservoir to keep it full. Ugh. Will definitely get hygrometer for next hatch. Already learned so much. Chick is most definitely active in there. Think I’ll say a prayer and get some rest. Thank you for your time - really appreciate your...
It seems pretty strong right now....egg is really rocking. The Vaseline or coconut oil softens the membrane to ease in hatching? Should I do that now (with all the movement going on) or wait until morning? With my luck I’m so tired right now I’ll seal up the pip
Should I do anything now? If so, what? There’s movement in there, and a bit more of the shell has flaked off.
Edit: tons of movement in last few minutes...pip is bigger, so at least it’s getting air in there
Ok.... first time incubating so I apologize for the long post. Using a Brinsea Maxi II Advance filled with 14 chicken eggs. Hatch day tomorrow (4/23), steady temp of 99.5 or 99.6 throughout. On lockdown, increased humidity per instructions. Have no hygrometer. Only candled eggs one time around...
Thank you all so much! Now to see if he'll get along with my year old people hater blue copper roo. They'd have to share a large run for most of the day as I can only free range a couple hours daily. Where's the best place here to post questions involving dealing with such a situation? You've...
