Ok.... first time incubating so I apologize for the long post. Using a Brinsea Maxi II Advance filled with 14 chicken eggs. Hatch day tomorrow (4/23), steady temp of 99.5 or 99.6 throughout. On lockdown, increased humidity per instructions. Have no hygrometer. Only candled eggs one time around day 10 or 11 - all looked fertile and lots of veining, etc. Eggs are from my healthy flock (44 hens, 4 roos). Other than that one candling lid was on entire time until lockdown procedure. I currently have 6 definite pips, all in good spots except one. It’s down near bottom on the more pointed end. I did not mark air sacs and position before lockdown, but now know to do that in future. I did set the eggs in same position they were in after final automatic turn. Hear definite chirping in there and multiple eggs are rocking and rolling. Will attempt to attach pics - both closeup and distance so you can see location. White papery membrane is present, along with some discolored. Lots of movement seen inside, but no idea what part of chick I’m seeing, as it doesn’t seem to be a beak...thoughts? Also attaching pic of egg with pip at top - beak peeking out and nice white papery membrane. Help!

How long have they been pipped? If they are all chirping and rolling they should be ok unless it’s been a long time since pipping.

Only about 6 hours for one I’m concerned about. Just seem odd location. The one with pip at top is a bit longer. That one seems to be doing great.

The one with the pip on the bottom may need help. Those ones usually have a hard time getting the position for the zip.
Should I do anything now? If so, what? There’s movement in there, and a bit more of the shell has flaked off.

Edit: tons of movement in last few minutes...pip is bigger, so at least it’s getting air in there

I would moisten the membrane with Vaseline or coconut out. If it sounds weaker or it seems to slow down then take tweezers and begin to slowly start to chip it open in tiny bits. If you see big blood vessels stop. The key is slow and small bits. Keep it moist work a bit on opening it then put it back in the bator. Wait and see if it can get itself out.

It seems pretty strong right now....egg is really rocking. The Vaseline or coconut oil softens the membrane to ease in hatching? Should I do that now (with all the movement going on) or wait until morning? With my luck I’m so tired right now I’ll seal up the pip

If your humidity is good and it’s very active I would let it ride.
I assume humidity is good as I’ve had to add water to reservoir to keep it full. Ugh. Will definitely get hygrometer for next hatch. Already learned so much. Chick is most definitely active in there. Think I’ll say a prayer and get some rest. Thank you for your time - really appreciate your knowledge. Will update tomorrow
