It does look like those, but according to the guy I got the eggs from, he has none of those. So.... I did stumble upon a few pix of Serama chicks, and some looked like that one, too. So now I am leaning that way, esp since that is one of the types the guy has. LOL It is so fun watching them...

Here are three pix of my almost week old chicks. They are all bantams, and are supposed to be either: Silkie, Serama, Cochin, D'uccles, or Seabright. One has the frizzled gene coming out, too. Any ideas what is what? This is a group shot, showing the feathering coming out on the yellow ones...

So by the 31st day after setting I should chunk any not hatched? I just don't want to leave any and wait and wait to have them blow up on me. LOL I think they will probably all hatch, but just in case... Thanks!

This is my second batch of bantam eggs (mixed varieties). With the first batch they all hatched within about 24 hours starting on day 19. This time, on day 18 the first egg pipped and hatched late that day (yesterday evening). There are now 2 more eggs pipping (day 19). There are 12 more eggs...

If they pipped and are zipping already I would bet they will be fine. Sound like strong healthy chicks to me. :)

Ok thanks! The coop I will moving them to is not the permanent one... it's more of a grow out pen really for bitties. A very safe way to move them outdoors to start off with, before they are moved to the portable pen. :)
