about 3 1/2 months is their age...It's the same one in the pictures..well except the picture where there are 2 birds. I wanted to be able to compare tail and possible saddle feathers.
Well I think they are full siblings, not sure, would have to ask to be sure, but this would make my 3rd...
wondering what you all think. I'm worried I could have a boy cause if one is a boy they are related so I won't be able to keep him. :( what do you all think. My daughter says no way, both are girls...the the comb is so much larger. about 3 1/2 months
Yeah, I won't do that again, adding chickens to the flock is stressful for me and for them. Now I'm going to worry about what's going to happen to the darn rooster when I return him.
I bought this chicken as an older PULLET, I have my doubts. Not crowing, not that I've hear and I'm told the way the Polish chickens are even hens can have longer feathers. About 4 1/2 months, maybe a bit older. What do you all think? It's a hatchery bird I'm pretty sure. Sweet as can be though.
Makes sense, thank you so much. One side is kind of large, and I was thinking she was older too. It was tricky though cause she's not real big for a barred rock and the rooters she was with were clearly young. I'm not very good at this but I'm pretty sure I'm right about that. No big deal...
OOOH, love your reply jetdog!! You seem very sure! She's the only chicken I bought that could be a good layer. The other 3 were just for fun. I think I picked up an elderly silkie and some weird white chicken that looks like a road runner that my daughter just fell in love with! We just...
Well thank you for your help in a guess. She/he was with some young roosters that were CLEARLY roosters. I hadn't written her/his number down so when she came up for bidding she looked so different and I loved barred rock I went for it. I wondered why she went so cheep but I got her/him home...
Not sure of the age. I thought she was a she, but now I'm not so sure. She's missing most her tail feathers and other feathers as well so it's hard for me to figure out.
Well it is really tiny for its age so probably not all Cornish. I hope it doesn't grow to big for its legs. I guess we will just see. Can you tell rooster or hen.
You are kidding. What a bummer! I have no idea where it came from and it was not born in the coop it was in. I was told bought as a straight run silkie. What do you do with a Cornish cross?
The one in front of the purple feeder looks like my australorps did, except larger comb. Not sure that is helpful or not, but I think it will be a black chicken of some kind.
