I have one silkie that goes in and out of broodiness more often then other silkies and she seems to keep more to herself and picked on. I gave her two surrogate BLRW to raise. Now they chase her around and pick on her some. I thought they would protect and know she was "mom".
I have a GLW that appears to be molting and I think a white silke is joining her. Is this normal? It is unseasonably hot here at the moment...over 100 degrees. We've checked for mites...nothing found. Anyone have any thoughts on what might be happening other than a very early molt?

I have a Brinsea Automatic....3 eggs had pipped about 12 hours ago and now 3 others have pipped and I hear peeping in the other egg....so 7 out of 7 is great! However, we forgot to shut the auto cool down off so the temperature dropped several degrees for a while ...which may be delaying...
