Hi all, new to buttonquail here. This is my second hatch. The first group is doing well. They are about 5 weeks old now, no problems. Second group is 2 days old. None of them will eat or drink. Two of them have died already. I'm frantic. Help! What am I doing wrong? PN

I am planning for building tractors for broilers and am confused. It seems like nobody secures the bottom of the tractors for broilers, like they do for their layers. Am I missing something? lol Something would dig under and kill my birds in a day or two. Thanks!

First time with ducks. I have 4 cayuga mixed girls. Have been getting nice size, cream colored eggs for about a week or so, one or two a day. Today I have 1 small, olive green egg. The only other birds in the coop overnight were seramas who have not laid any eggs yet. This egg is about 2inches...

These rats are the worst predator. I am at my wits end trying to defeat them! We are near a couple of commercial storage places and I think that makes it even worse. Ugh!

These are regular fully formed normal eggs, from very, very tiny bantam girls. We hard boil them and they are perfect bite size snacks. :) ~PN

No, not solid. I cut into it easily and it was clear gel inside. The egg was perfectly normal other than this little thing. It's about half an inch across.

This was inside a super jumbo egg, along with one normal yolk. I stabbed it with a knife and it is filled with a clear gel. Any ideas?
