Loved it! My chicks were hardly under it. They just ducked under from time to time to get warm and then they were off playing again, just like they would do with mama hen. Very cute seeing them all snuggled under it at night time.
I have a little Christmas candle in my coop's window on an electric timer. It goes on just before dusk and off at about 10pm. It is just enough for them to see to come into the coop at night.
I use Ustream.com to host my broadcast. They have free hosting software you can download too. I have a wireless camera out in the coop. Seems to work great. I was able to watch my chicks when I put them out in the coop for the first time. They are 5 1/2 weeks old now and they are going in...
