1 rooster to 8 hens?

My chickens look like they have the mange on there backs! When I say this I mean they have no or little feathers in a big place on their lower backs! Any ideas to what this may be? HELP!!! Lesley:(

Yes I have two roosters! I was thinking that might be the cause I was just concerned! How do I check for mites and lice? Will I be able to see them?

. They have feathers missing on there back ends. Not sure what is going on this is just one pic of my chickens! Maybe this is normal but one of my other ones has this happening also! If anyone can help I would appreciate it.

That would make since it has to be one of my reds because we got them as eggs from a friend who has different breeds and we hatched them in an incubator some of the reds do not look pure thanks

We have 2 rock hens and 6 red hens we are getting a gene egg why? Also the membrane in the eggs are making cracking them hard when cooking. Does anyone have and answer to these two questions?

We have them and we have one that drips or pours!! Don't know what to do but we have got to do something else..we are wasting water. Any ideas let me know!

Here is my first question. We bought those red watering nipples and so far one of them will not stop dripping does anyone know of a way to get it to stop? We have beat on it and everything you can imagine. Please help!!!

I am new to backyard chickens. We have chickens for 7 months and love them! I do have many questions to ask and wm try to take it slow. I don't want to overwhelm everybody lol! :D
