Don't know about toxicity for chickens, but honeysuckle isn't poisonous in general. A preferred deer browse, I fertilize patches of it to make it grow so they've got more food, but rarely keep it ahead of the hungry brown beasties.

I've got a few acres of CRP in my field, with lots of native warm season grasses, things like bluestem and indian grass and switchgrass. Anybody feed the seed heads from these to chickens? Can't imagine a problem but thought I'd check here.

Probably not. I've already got catalogs to order chicks, so no biggie. I'm anxious to see how they'll do around the yard and for bugging, but afraid how many I'll lose to predators. Between the foxes and coons and owls and eagles it could be tough.
