Well I've been waiting and waiting, even rather patiently, for the first eggs from my Dominiques. They hatched on July 13 so I thought it would be mid-December, but got the first eggs today, January 2!!!!!!!!!!! Heck of a Happy New Year from the birds. [IMG] Waited all this time for the first egg, funniest thing is I got THREE today. Neat that three of the nine hens would lay first eggs on the same day. Tomorrow I'm having deer sausage and dominecker egss for breakfast, whooo-hooo!

Three of mine all laid their first egg on the same day too. I had been away on vacation with mom watching the girls. The first morning I woke up after coming home...three eggs. I thought my mom might have saved them from while I was away and snuck them into the coop for me to find but she swears she didn't!
