Thanks for your reply. When I say poops a lot. I am comparing her to my others and there is a mountain of it ... she sleeps in a nesting box, unfortunately, so, I know who the offender is.
I did get a sample taken and worms didn't come up strangely. She did have cocci and has been treated. The...
Hi everyone,
one of my frizzle hens does a massive amount of poop at night. She is always hungry. I picked her up today and can feel her breast bone. I suspect worms but not sure that is related to the massive pooping that happens. Any ideas?
Thank you so much for your replies and taking the time out to help. Unfortunately, despite all best efforts she passed away over night. I am absoloutely devestated and cannot understand why she would go. I did evrything I thought possible. I wish now I had taken her to a specialist vet. I think...
Thanks for the information. I did go to the vet… I am his best customer!! She had a high fever, so she went on antibiotices and had a topical cream for the eye. The eye healed within a week.

Thanks everyone for your help. Hope everyone had a nice Christmas! I am going to the vet this afternoon to see what he says. Spoke with him this morning and he doesn't believe its Mareks. If it is, I believe I am in trouble as my entire flock will most likely contract it, as well as the...
Thanks for your help. I looked up Mareks but it doesnt look quite like that. She isn't gripping with her feet. Everything else is fine. Bad time of year to get any furhter diagnosis. The vet thought it could be heat related but today its much cooler and she is still in the same condition...
Hi all BYC members. I am new to this forum and new to chook ownership. I have 9 chickens, 3 very young poulets.. I would say 3-4 months old. Yesterday when I down to the garden, I was watching one attempting to eat an insect, just looked like an ant. I don't know if it was related but in the...
