Hi all, I'm having a few problems with my oldest bird, he is six years old. Sleeps a lot for his age but the problem is with his poop, it is very watery and slimey like stomach bile, he drinks a lot of water too. But other than that is very healthy for his age. -

And the final answer off the vets is now they think it is an ammonia burn. Any advice would be grateful. I have some anti inflamtry for him on the way from the vets too, Hopefully it should stop him scatching, He is now in the house with me so i can take care of him, He still eats and drinks... -

Hi, He is currently on his own, He has been like this for around 8 weeks, Im currently cleaning his eyes with sterile water, He eats and drinks fine tho. I have tried two lots of eye treatment from the vets which has cleared up a little, but not fully. Jezz P.S. I will take him back to the... -

Hi, I have a Quail that is blind in both eyes, partly in one, I will try and show a picture, He is eating and drinking very well, just seems to have problems with vision, I have taken him to a poultry specialist, Had some swabs done, been on two different courses of treatment, Will have to go... -

totally! Ive had this problem in the past, I found out the female did better on her own for a few months then I introduced them in a new cage at the same time. Just try and keep a look out for what they do whatever you deciede to do. Jezz -

She was fine up until i cleaned her never had any problems with her, hand reared home breed. I used to have a jumbo texas a and m called snowy, she had bad epilepsy, all the other birds would leave her alone almost as if they knew there was something wrong with her, She died having a bad fit one... -

She is! I find the silver strain has been problamatic, Im finding the texas a and m ones more hardy and friendlir, Normally the males. Jezz -

Thanks. She seems happy enough, The male is old and he just sits next to her to keep her company..These are some I have bred, super tame and friendly. She doesnt seem to get any worse, she just isnt that active anymore.. Jezz -

Just had my third bird in the space of a year been caught laying on her back feet in the air, I put her on her feet and she is struggling to walk, she just shuffles, Any idea what this is, The other two died but im putting this down to old age. Some i have seem to be out lasting the younger...
