G'day drumstick diva I can speak to ausies anytime lol I also don't like halogen lights but I have had this light going for three days .It has not gone above 95 deg It's 42 watt but equal to old 60 watt incandescent. (not sold anymore ) it's made by Mirabella

my brooder 1200mm x 900 x 400 don't know what that is in the land of the stars & strips . Powered by 60 watt halogen bulb (no chance of fire ) keeps a constant 95 deg how did I go ? still have 10 days to change it
