I just found this thread and I have a few questions I hope someone can answer. On the 2 nd day of corid treatment is there something along with their feed I can give them to help them along? What if anything can I do to treat their run before allowing them back into it? They are now quarantined...
How do I somewhat sanitize a dirt run after cocci outbreak? I cannot move the run. And how soon after the 5 day treatment can I leave the chicks back out?
Okay I just called purina and asked the question about the medicated food and corid and they told me it was okay to continue both. I appreciate everyone's advice.
Morning everyone yesterday I asked about treating for cocci and got a great advice sadly I lost one of the girls last night. The rest seem to be doing well but I am getting conflicting opinions on whether I can feed medicated food while treating with corid so hopefully someone can clear this...
Thanks so much, I am in a panic never had this happen before,we did have a lot of rain here and the run did get wet so wonder if that had something to do with it. I realize it is in the ground all the time but am sure the wet ground did not help. Will treat everyone and I have the one...

I love corn on the cob also can hardly wait till it comes into season. I love to make mine in the microwave in a microwaveable steamer,a little water in the bottom and cook 2 min. Per ear and done.i found that it keeps the kernels from getting mushy doing it this way.
Dragonfly good luck with job hunting,I also have become recently unemployed so am taking some time to regroup and figure out what I want to do! Always figure when one door closes another will open!
I sympathize with you Bamadude, car accident when I was 20 has left me with many aches and pains from good old arthritis from my injuries. But I also count myself lucky 2 people are paralyzed f in the other car from the whole mess. But I digress the making of the beer caught my eye sounds yummy!

I did have my bees in an area where it had some shade. Weird thing that happened one hive swarmed twice within 2 weeks couldn't figure that one out. Both hives made thru the second summer but by late fall they were gone.
I know this is a chicken forum but I also had bees but sadly lost them to the mysterious hive collapse. Would like to set my hives back up but am a little gun shy.
Live in the middle of orchards so know I have a good place for them so any insight would be appreciated. Had the hives for 2 years...
