Large watermelon box, medicated starter, pine bedding, 16x16 brooder plate set at different levels. No candles or sprays. They are in my sewing room and they’re nothing in there that can hurt them. We don’t burn candles, no scent warmer plug ins or anything
So I had 7 losses, it was heartbreaking but everyone has done great all day, went in this evening, one is rocking it’s dead as it stand still, eyes close and it’s almost like a tick to the side and snap back to center. Like we we start to nod off. But this is to the side. Otherwise, latest...
It is the same 84, it’s a large open top watermelon box it even has holes insides so air circulates through there’s about 10 square feet in it and the brooder plate only takes up one square foot. Had I verified and seen that everyone knew where water was and was eating the first day I got them...
So I have raised the front legs more on the plate, put in the over head fan. Everyone is now going under the plate but staying more to front than the back where it’s low.
Chick starter feed, I will have to try and find something to get temp. Maybe my steak thermometer will register ambient. They got grow gel the day I got them, everyone found the water and started eating after that

Just a big. Cardboard box. Pictures attached, I have the over head tan going now in the center of the room which is right over the end of the brooder opposite the plate. I have raised the front legs even more and the chicks are now going under it. A fee prep their heads out the side. I have...
And they are not going under it as all my other groups have. And they are dying outside of the plate. The brooder is a large watermelon box so they ah e lots of room without it. I turned the over head fan on and the 4 that were fading revived so far with molasses water and yolk slurry
No just that one, she is still very active and drinking but not eating and runs backwards. I found her on her back a bit ago but she seems fine when I righted her
They won’t really go under brooder plate, they lean against it. It’s hot today, 83 in this room. Just found three laying down throwing head back and breathing hard when I pick them up
Hatched Monday, received in Tuesday with 18 others. This one. Is tiny. 36 hrs ago saw she will stumble, has hard time getting back up. Runs backwards but can also go forwards. This morning the bubble at crop area showed up. Comes running out from heat plate, (in extra brooder with a...
