    Fox encounter

Maybe it was just lighting. The chicken is doing very well. Has drank about 8oz in the past couple days along with around 1 cup of food. Much more active and no longer wobbly. When can we move her back out?

    Fox encounter

Our chicken seems to be doing quite well. But we have been beginning to notice rather greenish colored poop. Could this be a sign of internal bleeding?

    Fox encounter

A couple days ago our 10 chickens were free roaming. A fox that we haven't ever had problems with before fatally attacked one chicken and injured another. The injured chicken is a little white americana. It is a hen. We caught the fox with the white chicken in its mouth. We have since separated...

post your chicken coop pictures here!

Well thank you! The base is actually just a re-constructed large dog house. We just ripped the roof off and moved some boards. As far as the bottom in the inside; it's just wood-pattern linoleum. I cleaned thier starter cage that had cardboard at the bottom. Won't make that mistake again. :)...

    What Breed are these?

First time chicken owner - Picked up six red pullets from tractor supply company, and two more black sexlinks the following week. Can anyone tell us what kind of birds we have? Blue foot

My red pullets are doing great I'm just concerned about one of their feet. She doesn't seem to be favoring it or acting injured at all. It seems to have a bluish green tint to it. Anyone have any ideas as to what this is?

Paint type Selection, Inside and out

The end of the coop build is near, and I am looking at many types of paint. I have read many things about whether to paint the inside or not. The walls in my coop are going to be OSB shealthing. I would like to paint them, to give them some sort of protection. I am not looking for watertight on...
