I have limited experience with any eggs let alone brown eggs (have 2 brown egg layers) and can say that they shades of brown can be different. I've even had lighter shades on the same egg. Asked here and was told it is fine. Ate the eggs and I'm still around :)

The red one here is Artemis. The white one isn't a Red-Sex link at all :p

Yes, that is what I mean. I'm pretty sure that (s)he isn't the biggest of the chickens either. I'll get a picture of all of them tomorrow to compare if you think that would be beneficial?

All of my hens are actually only three months old and won't be four months until the 17th, give or take a few days.

Thank you guys very much. I can only keep hens here out of courtesy for our neighbors. If it had been a male we would have been having some chicken for dinner which isn't a bad thing but these ones were in the hopes of eggs. Thanks again!
