    Search hoophouse on here. I have issues with hawks. The cattle panels combined with garden wire on bottom and poultry fence on top are super cure. I will try and post a picture of our duck house when I get home from work. Cattle panels $21 a piece at tractor supply (frames the whole run).

    The purpose is to change their pasture so you need it to be open, but how do you keep predators out at night? chicken wire? hardware cloth? My sides are hardware cloth....

    That chick hatched successfully (He was just late to the party). 11 chicks out of 18 eggs. Not horrible for my first time. Still bummed about the other seven eggs.

    update: The repti temp worked great. Today we hatched 11 of 19 eggs early and two are working their way out now.

    Today is day 19. 4 of 20 eggs have pipped. The first one to pip has a red rim under the pip site. Is this blood? Is this bad? Does it need help?

    4 of 20 eggs are pipping on day 19. The first one to break through now has a red rim around on the lower end of the pipping site. Is that normal? this is a nail biter. So hard not to just keep looking!

    I'm using it now in a hatcher I built yesterday. Seems to work fine. I have a plastic cooler with a 40W bulb....just don't plug your fan into the repti temp. The 25W bulb wasn't enough. The 40W bulb keeps the air temp between 99.3-100.3 without the repti temp needing to be set on "high"...
