Well a few days after I posted this I came up with a solution! I gated off a small corner of the poultry yard so now they have to share they're mini studio on the corner! On top of that.. This last molting season, they're tail feathers all came out !! I have 3 drakes!! Explains why I'm not...

Yes that is a good idea! However ...we dont have a lawn mower or riding lawn mower and so on... its certainly on the list! A very LONG list and closely financially budgeted! But thankyou for the idea")
Depending on where you live and trees in your yard/property, dry leaves also make for cheap, comfy bedding. I plan to store a couple extra bags this fall for use throughout the winter.
