I have a rubbermaid trough that is 23x44. I'm getting 3 chicks and a week after that i'll be getting 9 chicks. They are all bantams. I'm assuming this would be too small to use as a brooder? I've heard you need 1 to 2 feet per chick but that seems a bit excessive. Thinking of maybe building...
