Ok thank you! I ended up getting a bantam hen but I'm worried since my others are the Americana chickens along with a big rooster they might hurt her or she won't be able too sit on their eggs
I bought two digital ones that read both too make sure they were both right & also some more stick ones I ran it for 12 hours while it held steady on temp & humidity
Hi guys thanks for all the feedback. Unfortunately only one egg that was left was already dead. After all the feed back I went to get a monitor for humidity also a new thermometer & my temp was way off this whole time! I'm starting over using all of the tips & help I got from y'all
I did not candle them but I did increase moisture. Right now I can hear one with no problem but I do not see an external pip at all. So if I open it to get the dead one out it shouldn't hurt the others?
The one that piped ended up back up right so I could see & I've not heard or seen him it move since! The inside looks all dried up & I can see that some of the yolk wasn't absorbed & I see a little blood! Like I said I went into this just thinking it's easy but am prepared to do the next bunch...
Thank you! I did stop turning them & I have been ok top of the temp but I used only the thermometer that came with the incubator! I've read a lot of yalls advice so the next round I'll be more prepared & educated on what to do from beginning to end.

I started on (1/27/15) today is day 23 of the incubating process & I had one egg pip yesterday & started too crack but after about 8 hours it rolled itself over & just died. I can hear & see at least 2 other eggs still moving but I'm not sure if I should pull the dead one or if I should candle...
