like the idea about the weeds LOL
I have been giving them grass in their baby pool. They LOVE it. Our weather has been pretty awful to say the least. I'll try and get them out on the real green stuff tomorrow. B
I have a group of five 3 week old Sebbies. They were initially on a 20% grower feed and I switched them to a 15% poultry feed at 7 days old. My concern is that I cannot find a waterfowl feed that is under 18% protein. I don't want to end up with feather/ wing issues, but do not want to feed them...
What are you running your humidity at? Are you using the GQF continuous water system? I love my units, I just have never attempted goose eggs in them. B
Anyone hatching using cabinet GQF Sportmans? Just curious? Most people seem to be incubating using small still air units.
I am trying to decide whether to just use my hatcher unit and turn the eggs myself, or to use the incubator that auto turns
Any info would be awesome! Also wondering about...

set up a hospital stall for the tom that was in the house (James) and the hen. They are under heat lamps. I will look into the Tylan further to check dose. I did not give the third dose- just in case I am overdosing the poor bird . James was eating and drinking well at night check, but is still...
posted in turkey section also.
I have a flock of Royal Palms. A few weeks ago I notice one female showing signs of upper respiratory illness. It has not effected her eating and drinking. Two days ago our favorite tom fell ill. I found him lying in a corner- very cold and coughing/ sneezing/...
injected in the breast. These are not birds for meat, so I'm not concerned about his muscle. I can go down to BID and see if that works. I know Tylan can be given TID- I may have been giving too high a dose. Thought my math was right:(
forgot to add: this tom showed signs of mild lameness...

So mad I could spit! A coyote came into the yard in broad daylight and grabbed one of our hens. She had gone back to the coop to lay, or get a drink and wham.
Now I am on a mission....this coyote has gotta go. They brought down a fullsize doe last week, our rooster was taken a month...

They are fairly friendly and live free range. They get game bird pellets and graze much of the day. We have a pond, and prefer...
