    I put a small perch for them to climb on in the brooder. Started out about 2" off the floor them slowly moved it higher. We also put a 6"x 10" piece of plywood on the floor of the brooder with a small amount of chick feed on it for them to scratch at.

    Chick feeder - No waste

    We put a 45 degree roof over our feeder, this keeps all the poop out. We also raise it as the chicks get bigger to chest height.
