Veggies?

I am wanting to give my 3 to 4 day old chick's lettuce or apples as a treat is this good for them? They are eating great so I was curious if I can give them lettuce?

IMO, wait until they are older before apples or lettuce - 2 weeks or more. If you do give apples, take out the seeds they are toxic. At this age they need their starter food. When you do decide to add treats they will need chick grit to be able to digest it and do limit the amt.

Our chicks are 6 weeks old, they are on step two feed now. On nice days we let them outside in their run where they have access to sand. What type of treats could we give them.

I would wait tell there older.

Thanks so much for your input. I have a buyer for them who is picking them up on Thursday. So I won't be able to see them eat their first veggies etc.
