I have about 8 Cayuga eggs being incubated right now -- all eggs were shades of gray, so I know they came from my Cayuga ducks...however the drakes that fertilized them could be runners, Cayuga, or KC's. Hi all, thanks again for the responses. JUST to follow up, the ducks started laying anout 4-5 days after my first post :D In a somewhat unrelated note, I think one of the white layers that hatched on April 20th is starting to lay, too! Hopefully it won't be long now until they all start... Cheers! -

Just thought I'd update :) Sweet Pea is doing just fine. She's still smaller than the rest (about 2/3 their size) but acts just like the rest of them now. I'm hoping she continues to be fine and right now I have no reason not to believe that :) pictures upon request lol -

Does anyone have ducks who will drink from nipple or cup automatic waterers?
No offense, but a nipple water system for a duck is a bad idea. They need to be able to dip their heads to help clean their eyes and rinse out their nostrils, plus they really need to be able to get as much water as they need to wash down food. A better suggestion is to fashion a waterer that... -
