    My almost 8 weeks old chicks have outgrown this thread :-) They are so pretty with all their feathers! And so grown up flying out of the yard got their first wing clip for their saftey.

    I just bail mine out with a bucket till its empty enough to flip. Get a heck if a workout , the only draw back is it floods the other side of the fence, which the ducks LOVE sticking their head thru and drilling in the mud :-)

    He just has a full crop. Its normal. Sometimes wjen mine over ate it would throw them off balance. They are little porkers ;-) especially my pekin girl.

    My rouen male Rodger still has some baby feathers in his green head ;-) and he has pink spots on his feet. Thats why I kept him as a breeder, I could tell him apart from the other males :-)

    This thread is not as active is all. I said they are huge in an ovation... My Rouens are big birds Other than that they are gentle, docile and very pretty in color. They are good seasonal egg layers but wont brood often.

    a My chicks first night outside with the ducks they had a practice night in a small kennel, just to transition them to be used to each other. 6 weeks today and I'm amazed at how fast they are growing and how different the fuzzier two are from the chunky two. I'm proud of my big girls!

    My buff Orpingtons are do docile and sweet. They perch on my hand and let me carry them around. They come running wjen I come outside and call "chick chick chick" and dont run away when I come near them anymore. They will be able to sleep outside with the ducks soon like big girls.
