Ky, 11 Week old sliver polish cockerel for sale $20

Our Polish chick we raised up this year is a male so sadly he had to find a new flock. He turned 11 weeks old on 6/27/21. He's very friendly to humans and chickens alike. Fairly quite so far for a rooster. If your around the Lexington area in Kentucky and want him PM me for phone number and...

    Therapy duck training!

Firstly I think Lettuce is a fantastic name for a therapy duck, simple silly names tend to make kids happy especially. With training mostly to not nip at jewelry he did well after some time. A friend of mine had a grandfather living in a retirement home which let me bring him in, unofficially...

Big size difference in same breed and age?

I have 2 frizzled cochin bantam that just turned 8.5 weeks old, both which I hope are girls but could always be wrong. The 2 bantams are both only a couple days apart in age with the smaller one being the older of the pair. I can't figure out why this is. The both behave about the same and eat...

    3 Possible Cockerels?

I might be jumping the gun a bit trying to figure it out now. It has been a couple years since I've had baby chickens, I've been a quail kick for a bit. That'd be tragic if the turn out not to be Easter Eggers we were really excited to have some new colored egg layers. Though wouldn't be the...

    3 Possible Cockerels?

I bought 6 chicks about 3 weeks back and their all growing fast and happy. All but one was bought straight run which was probably poor planning on my part lol. Ones a Polish chick so I know I won't be finding out until she either lays an egg or crows but I do have three others I suspect might be...

Red wattle like skin around roosters vent

I've noticed recently that my rooster has developed what looks like the same kind of skin on their wattles and combs around his vent. The feathers seem to have mostly stopped growing on it and it's very hot to the touch. I'm not sure if this is a problem or if he just developed it because it's...

Aggressive and nicest breeds of chicken?

My friendliest so far is a hard contest between my Old English Game bantams and my Golden Comets, my Barred Rock is also pretty nice but a little more skittish. Ranking may change though once my Silkie chicks are grown if they live up to their reputation. My nicest rooster would hands down be my...

    Possible prolapse

I just bought 6 cute little silkies yesterday and after making sure they had a couple drinks left them to settle. This morning when i was checking on them i picked one up because it had a messy bottom but once i clean it i noticed something in its vent. I can't tell if it's a growth or part if...

    Flock dynamic of guineas

I'm going to be getting about 12 or so guinea chicks this weekend and was wondering if i need to worry about males fighting? I'm just going to be getting a straight run from the farm store and they will be reared to be free range on my fathers farm, will the males fight or will they just...

WARNING GRAPHIC Rooster fight, possibly broken jaw?

He's bright and alert this morning! His swelling is going down a bit, he's walking and talking to me, and he's already trying to eat hard food I think he's going to be just fine. He'll get a few more days of rest and then he'll be back out with his ladies. His brothers are leaving today so he...

He just bawked! So at least he can vocalize and is aware enough to try and tell ladies he found scratch. He won't eat it though. He did tip his head back and drink water I dripped on his beak so he can swallow and has some sugar in him now.

WARNING GRAPHIC Rooster fight, possibly broken jaw?

It's coming from his face area and I think he can swallow because, it might not be the best way to know, but when he was bleeding he was swallowing his blood from his nose.
