17 weeks old now. Started crowing 9-29-21.

I know we’ve figured out everything about him by now, but updating just for fun. He is absolutely stunning. Way bigger than the other cockerels his age. And has the absolute best, sweetest personality.

Nine weeks old now; here’s a better pic :)

He was yellow-legged as a chick, but very pale now. Definitely more white. He is from a hatchery, so whatever he is, I’m sure he’s not exactly right.

That’s actually great! Maybe I can get some olive egger babies from him. How can you tell the difference? The barring?

Update: Buttercup is still doing the same. He walks around in a slump but runs and plays with the rest of them. Play fights with the other cockerels. Just stands like something’s wrong. He’s a little smaller than my buttercup pullet, and he feathered out a little slower, but acts healthy other...

Seven weeks old, and I can say with confidence that I was wrong. Oh well - he is very friendly.

Not the greatest pic (don't mind the heat lamp, it is not on). The cockerel is right behind the barred rock and then the two pullets are just to his right. None of them are colored right but I think yours are pullets as well.

They look like pullets. I ordered a trio from Murray McMurray that are about the age of yours. The pullets look just like yours - poor quality coloring. The cockerel is almost all black.

Update: Wyandotte died. She went down hill rapidly since this morning The buttercup’s hanging in there. He’s acting the same as he has been.

I have 2 droopy chicks. They stand with their wings and heads down. One of them (Wyandotte) is very light and won’t eat/drink. This one began acting this way last night. The other (buttercup) eats/drinks and puts up a decent fight when I pick him up. This started yesterday morning. They are ten...

That is weird! If anybody can explain why that is I would love to know! I saw that when they came in, warning against feeding medicated feed. I’m stumped for the reason, but glad for the info!
