    Can you use Whole Wheat Kernels to make flour?

    Many hardware stores carry them. If not ask if they can order them. Most are affiliated with a major company (hardware hank, true value, etc) and can get them on their regular order so there is no shipping charge.

    When you get your first real eggs and taste the difference in them, you'll really come to appreciate your chickens. And never want to be without them. But you need to decide if you can afford the time this site claims from your life!

    Here are some new pics since I really want to know what she is. I believe her comb may have been single but got frostbit. Not sure. Have added pics of her eggs next to australorps. Notice the different shape, if that is a factor Hope these help.

    Mine are very friendly and docile. Get along well with the other chickens. They lay an egg almost everyday. Probably 5-6 per week. Mine don't fly much either w/o their wings clipped. But they also free range, maybe if they were shut in their run they might try to get out. Yours are beauties!

    Yes, there's a difference in size. Chick grit and # 2 is larger for older birds. idk if there are other sizes.
