Many hardware stores carry them. If not ask if they can order them. Most are affiliated with a major company (hardware hank, true value, etc) and can get them on their regular order so there is no shipping charge.

When you get your first real eggs and taste the difference in them, you'll really come to appreciate your chickens. And never want to be without them.

Mine are very friendly and docile. Get along well with the other chickens. They lay an egg almost everyday. Probably 5-6 per week. Mine don't fly much either w/o their wings clipped. But they also free range, maybe if they were shut in their run they might try to get out.
